One app for getting around Istanbul: how many minutes until the next ride, which way to go, what it costs. No ads, no accounts, no tracking.
What it does
Live departures for metro, Marmaray, trams, funiculars, cable cars, the Metrobus, İETT buses and the ferries of Şehir Hatları, Turyol and Dentur Avrasya; door-to-door directions with fares; Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets; live trip tracking; service notices. Rail timetables live on the device and work in the tunnel. On this site the timetables of 22 lines, 289 stations, 45 ferry piers and 728 bus lines are open to everyone.
Who makes it
MetroFlow is built and maintained by Yusuf Dinanet, an independent developer living in Istanbul. The app launched on the App Store in March 2026 and is also on Google Play. It is not affiliated with the municipality or the operators.
Where the data comes from
İBB open data, Metro İstanbul, İETT, TCDD Taşımacılık and the ferry operators' official timetables. Live bus positions come from İETT in real time. The timetables on this site are re-read every morning; each page shows the date its data last changed.
How it makes money
Barely: the app is free and ad-free; you can support it from inside the app if you like. Nothing is locked.
